Ladies & Gentlemen it’s that time of year again… On February 14th couples around the country will celebrate their love. Roses, heart shaped candy and teddy bears will be exchanged with glee. Ahhh the love.
There is another side to this joyous time of year. Single folk will be bombarded with imagery that may trigger feelings of loneliness and longing. Some will mentally replay failed relationships and wonder where things went wrong.
If you are one of the single folk (like me) know that all of this is a construct. The holiday is a construct. The national pattern of failed relationships is a construct as well. Do not let this day trigger negative emotion. You are loved. Always.
